Trusting Jesus in New Ways

We are definitely learning to trust Jesus to provide our every need rather than meet it ourselves. The other day we were down to our last little bit of clean water and the staff person that helped us get settled in was off for the weekend so we had no way to get more ~ out of the blue our friends from CA texted saying they were in Port Au Prince (1.5 hours away) for their adoption & wanted to come visit! They stopped at the store for us on the way up the mountain to buy us clean water!! Another day we ran out of propane just as we started to cook pasta for dinner ~ again it was weekend & no one working. We called a young man our kids played soccer with & he took a moto to get us more!! Yesterday we were looking at our food & figuring out how to ration it until Brodie comes on Wednesday & could stop at the store on the way up ~ just then a gal from our kids orphanage called & asked if we'd like to ride down the mountain to the store!! So just as a need arrives, HE meets it.......of course He is always this faithful but it's just that WE are so used to meeting our own needs in America and not HAVING to rely on Him :). Clean water is SUCH an amazing blessing that we take for granted for sure!!! And electricity!

Kennady LOVES it here!!! She feels right at home and honestly kind of blends in (even with her blonde hair!!). I just focus on getting through one section of the day at a time :). If I start to think of this as 3 months or longer I get a little overwhelmed & homesick ;). So I just stick to doing what Jesus called me here to do.....LOVE these littles whole with His Love :). I definitely fall short at times but just take a deep breath & turn deeper into Him.........I truly know only His Love will heal them!

I am thankful for His Holy Spirit to fill & sustain and for His Word to encourage & speak life & truth! Yesterday I read Haggai 2:3-9.........

"Be strong, all you people of the land," declares the Lord, and work for I am with you...... And My Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.......I will fill this house with glory....... And in this place I will grant peace," declares the Lord Almighty

Jesus, You are Omnipresent....the whole earth is filled with Your glory!!! Fill this little apartment in Haiti with Your glory.....and fill our family with Your Glory and peace no matter where we are!
