Psalm 33

"We wait in hope for the LORD;
He is our hope and our shield.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in His Holy Name.
May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in You."
Psalm 33: 20-22

O Lord, we thank You for Kaylee's life...thank you that her birth mom chose LIFE for her! Thank You for sending us to her. Thank You for all the amazing work we have seen You do already and all we will see You do - each and every day. Thank You for filling us every time we feel weary or like we are not capable of meeting her needs and for reminding us of the TRUTH...that You are our help and our shield. We praise You that we always have reasons to rejoice since You are our God!!! May Your unfailing love rest upon us; and especially upon Kaylee as she is learning for the first time what love is...we put our hope in You and we thank You for all You have created her to be! And thank You for all 3 big kids and how their hearts have changed to be more like Yours in this process...I see You in them and I rejoice :)

So one thing we know for sure about Kaylee is that she LOVES water! Sis wanted to swim (How do kids swim when it is 75 degrees outside???) so we let Kaylee "watch" her and Keeg & Kols as they got in. Well, within seconds Kaylee was pulling me to the edge of the pool and wanting to get in! We let her feel the water with her feet and then we took her inside to "swim" in her bath ;)

Just loungin' in my blow up bath
Kaylee and Brodie made great progress with bonding today. After he took the kids to school he came home to hang with her just a bit when things would be a little calmer. We just sat together in the family room and talked and she went right up to him and started rubbing his arms (she does this as she falls asleep to me). Then she reached for his leg and started to rub it...she liked the way it felt with his hairy legs ;)  A few minutes later she was playing at the fireplace and he asked her for a hug. She ran over to him and gave him a big hug ;)  Even this evening once he was home, she kept coming up to him and rubbing his arms and legs... Sweet connecting ;)
